Kensuke Nagase

Kensuke Nagase joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan after graduating from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, The University of Tokyo in 1998. He earned his Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) from Georgetown University. He experienced overseas assignments including Embassy in Singapore and Deputy Consul General in New York. Posts he held in Japan include Principal Deputy Director of the First Southeast Asian Affairs Division, Senior Negotiator for Climate Change. He assumed the present position in July 2020.
