Born in 1967 in Tokyo. Graduated Politics Department, Law Faculty, Keio University in 1992 and entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

Held positions include the 1st Secretary in the Permanent Mission of the Government of Japan to International Organizations in Geneva and in the Embassy of Japan in Pakistan, Senior Coordinator in the Cabinet Secretariat, Director of the Second Africa Division, African Affairs Bureau, MOFA, Director of Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs Division, Foreign Policy Bureau, MOFA, Counsellor of Situations Response and Crisis Management, Cabinet Secretariat. Assumed current position in February 2018.
