Apart from the above mentioned regional study centers, JIIA also has a section for European studies that deals primarily with Western Europe and the Middle East. In recent years, issues covered by this section have included:

  1. Development of the Euro market and the progress of internationalization;
  2. Examination of the US-Europe alliance; and
  3. Nation-states and localities in the Middle East.
