Global Issues

The Global Issues Section is responsible for covering interdisciplinary, and inter-regional global issues such as human rights, nuclear and conventional arms proliferation, the United Nations, and environmental issues.

It is run through the collaboration of other regional study centers, and with the emergence of global issues, the projects covered by the section vary considerably in theme and their number is constantly on the rise. The topics for 2000 are as follows:

  1. Research on basic data on the Middle East;
  2. Conflict in modern African and efforts toward conflict resolution;
  3. General research on Saudi Arabia; and
  4. Research meeting on maritime law systems.
